Diana King Mourns The Loss Of Her Daughter

Veteran Dancehall artiste, Diana King is now mourning the loss of her daughter after the doctors had to pull the plug of the life support that 33-year-old Shalamar Diana Wright was on.

The Entertainer posted about her grief on August 5th, and many of her co-workers in the industry poured out their condolences to her as she appeared to be totally devastated by the passing of her child.

Not too long after, King took to social media where she posted both on her Twitter and Instagram account informing her followers of what took place. On her Twitter, she wrote “Fly free my luv. #SHALAMARDIANA I will forever miss u Spoog. Gratitude for choosing and blessing me with your beautiful soul.”

Whilst on her Instagram the grieving mother posted “Death keeps it real & puts things in perspective. I never imagined having to make the decision to either keep my daughter on permanent life support or allow her to pass naturally as the free spirit she was in peace & with dignity. I’m grateful the answer was clear.”

Among those notable persons who commented on the singer’s posts with warm condolences were fellow Jamaican singer, Tessane Chin who wrote “Soo sorry for your loss”, as well as Businessman Wayne Chen and Yendi Phillips who wished her the best from their hearts.

Diana King is well known for her hit track “Shy Guy” which was used in the “Bad Boys” movie, that also made the US Billboard chart in its time as well as going on to top the charts in other countries such as Sweden, Netherlands, and Ireland, as the best reggae fusion song.
