Dujuan Richards Scores Twice to Help Chelsea(U21) Advance to Quarter-finals

On Friday, the 3rd of May, Jamaican teenage footballer Dujuan ‘Whisper’ Richards scored twice for Chelsea in the Premier League 2 aka Under-21 against Brighton. Whisper scored his first goal in the 39th minute of the match after winning a penalty.

He scored his second in the 59th minute of the match, a well-taken goal from outside of the box, off his left boot, a goal the commentator labelled as “special”. These two goals take Whisper to 7 goals of the 23/24 season.

After finishing the full time at 4-4, Chelsea went on to win the match 5-4 in extra time to advance into the quarter-finals of the Premier League 2 play-offs. Chelsea is set to play away to Arsenal, who defeated Manchester United 6-2 on Friday, the quarter-finals is set for next week.

In celebrating the victory and his goals, Richards took to Instagram after the match and wrote, “ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND CHELSEA💙,” along with some images from the match.
