Elaine Thompson-Herah Finishes Last Again; Unable To Walk After Race – Watch Videos

“Hopefully the injury is not too bad,” said a commentator after watching the fastest woman alive being carried off the track on Sunday, after another disappointing 100m run. Thompson-Herah‘s first time running 100m in New York City ended with what seems like a major injury.

‘Hopefully she can pull through,’ is the hope of many Jamaicans ahead of the National Trials in Kingston which is scheduled to take place from June 27 to June 30 at the National Stadium.

Based on her face in the footage, Thompson-Herah seemed to be in a lot of pain so much that she had to be assisted off the track at the USATF New York Grand Prix in the Icahn Stadium by two males who lifted her up off the ground and carried her away.

Elaine had a relatively decent start to the race, however, about midway in the race as she tried to kick on, she was unable to and slowly lost speed causing her to fall behind the others. Thompson-Herah finished the race in 11.48 seconds.

After the race she stopped, took off her right shoe and stood in grimace. “The face that she can’t even walk, is she ready for trials?” one fan of Elaine asked online.

At the end of May, a few days after finishing last at the Prefontaine Classic at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, the ‘Double Double Olympic Champion’ took to Instagram and wrote, “A bird doesn’t sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song,” which is a famous quote by Maya Angelou.

The world is waiting to see what will be her next online post.

Thompson-Herah mentioned a few months ago that she is eyeing another double-double at the Olympics which will be the XXXIII Olympiad aka Paris 2024. The international multi-sport event is scheduled to take place in a few months, from the 26th of July to the 11th of August.
