Elaine Thompson-Herah’s Manager-Husband Says Coach Osbourne Requested Over $100 Million JMD Per Year For Her Services, As He Defends His Decision

Husband and Manager of the fastest woman alive, Derron Herah, has broken his silence as he explains what caused the split between his client and MVP Track Club-affiliated coach Shanike Osbourne. A sporting relationship that saw Elaine Thompson-Herah seemingly return to some of her best form after a slow start to end the recent track and field season.

Derron Herah, who has faced much public backlash for his business decisions relating to Thompson-Herah, outlined that Osbourne’s proposed compensation for her work was exorbitant in an interview. When the interviewer asked Herah what was the figure, Herah revealed that it was over $100 million.

The scope of the figure proposed by Osbourne through her agent Damia Russell initially confused Herah, and at first, he believed that it was a mistake on the agent’s part.

“He (Damian Russell) sent me a proposal by text, so the figure on the proposal I thought it was a mistake, you know you would write a figure and write an additional zero on it, that’s what I thought, so I sent the figure back with a question sign, and ask if this is what the figure was and he said yes, he knew what he sent,” Hera revealed.

Following the split, reports suggest that Herah is set to take over the reins of coaching his wife once more as she continues her preparation for the Paris Olympics next year.
