The latest news in Jamaica’s sporting world is that the island’s fastest female athlete in history, Elaine Thompson-Herah, is again switching her head coach. Notably, Thompson-Herah had a late-season resurgence while working with coach Shanikie Osbourne, with whom she initially reportedly had a short-term agreement.
Just months after working together, reports are that the two will no longer working together, further reports pointing to the separation due to monetary disagreement.
Sports enthusiast Oral Tracy went into detail, based on his source, with regard to the current situation between, Elaine, her husband and Shanikie Osbourne. According to Tracey, Elaine is not the reason for the split and the disagreement was between coach Shanikie Osbourne and her husband Derron Herah.
Elaine Thompson-Herah marked her name in the history of female sprinting after running 10.54 on the 21st of August 2021, Eugene (USA) and again after clocking 10.61 on the 31st of July 2021, Tokyo (JPN).
She is regarded by many as Jamaica’s best Female sprinter of all time due to the fact that she ran the second-fastest time in history and seemed the most likely to break the world record in 100m, if she’s injury-free.
