Family Delivers Powerful Speeches at Funeral Service for DMX

DMX’s close friends and family were full of emotions at his private funeral service as they gathered together to honour him for the last time.

On Sunday the send-off service for the late rapper was held at a church in New York after a huge event went on before at Barclay’s Centre in Brooklyn. A choir was featured there and the rapper’s children, along with Nas, Eve and the original Ruff Ryders took the stage. There were also words from his closest celebrity friends.

Sasha, who is one of DMX’S daughter sobbed throughout her tearful remembrance. Speaking about how hard it is to know that the world will go on without her father and he won’t see her graduate from college nor when she gets married. 

However, she found comfort in the fact that he is resting in heaven and she knew he would be encouraged to see all his children together under the same roof.

That church service was on BET, it was heartfelt and poignant when some of his children went up to the podium to speak about how they remembered their father.

DMX’s young children were eloquent and very well composed. Manny, one of his sons remembered how his dad wanted to know how many girls he had and told him not to follow in his footsteps but instead he should listen to him. Now he says his dad was right,he crowd cheered him.

Tashera Simmons his ex-wife delivered a stirring speech about her time with X and how they met before she shared the stage with his fiancée Desiree Lindstrom who cried while she spoke about the loving relationship she had with the rapper before he passed.
