Fans Demand New Music From Koffee

Two of the biggest names in the new era of Reggae, Koffee and Chronixx, have been missing from the limelight for so long that their absences have been noted by fans who are now questioning what happened to them and where they are.
An article released by Yardhype on May 18, 2024 asking about when Chronixx will return with new music was shared by someone to their Instagram Stories with the question, “Also where is Koffee?”
The article sparked a discussion in the comments about the two Reggae artistes and what caused them both to disappear from the music industry. Neither artiste has performed at a local event in recent years, including Protoje’s show in Kingston, The Lost In Time Festival.

On the other hand, some fans are demanding that she release new music, see some of the comments below:
Koffee (24), born Mikayla Victoria Simpson, seemed to release her last musical endeavour a year ago, which is a collaboration with Sam Smith and Jessie Reyez on the single Gimme. The song received a lot of backlash and ‘bun out’ from Jamaicans because of the music video, Sam Smith’s sexuality, and resurfacing rumours that Koffee likes women.
One can speculate that the absence of the Reggae prodigies stems from an ongoing internal issue with the artistes’ record deals. This could attest to why there have been no public appearances or new music released by Koffee or Chonixx recently. However, it is also likely that they are taking a personal break for other reasons.
Only time will tell.
