Following his health scare during the week, Reggae singer Fantan Mojah is currently unable to fly. According to sources, during a press conference on Wednesday, Fantan Mojah began feeling unwell. His condition prompted an immediate call to a doctor, who then called an ambulance to take him to the hospital.
“The doctor said he didn’t know how Fantan even managed to get here (in Martinique) in that condition. He will have to stay back for three weeks after leaving the hospital,” the source shared to the Jamaica Star.
Upon arriving in Martinique, the ‘Stronger‘ hit-maker developed breathing problems and complained of chest tightness. He was taken to the hospital, where he is currently recovering.
Due to his health condition, the entertainer is unable to perform at the Reggae Therapy Festival 2024 in Martinique on July 12 and July 13. He also had to cancel an upcoming show in French Guiana. Fantan Mojah and his team were initially scheduled to fly out of Martinique on Sunday (July 14).
The soulful Reggae singer is yet to comment on the matter which surprised many people online.
Fantan Mojah, born in White Hill, St Elizabeth Parish, Jamaica, began his career working with a travelling sound system under the name Mad Killer due to his love for Bounty Killer.
However, after embracing the Rastafarian movement, he adopted the name Fantan Mojah. He is best known for songs such as “Hail the King” (2005), “Stronger” (2008), “Rebel I Am” (2012), and “Rasta Got Soul” (2016).
