The Georgia Bureau of Investigations arrested the McMichaels on Thursday … both have been booked into Glynn County Jail for murder and aggravated assault.

Ahmaud Arbery’s murder suspects were read their rights and then told that they will be facing a Superior Court Judge. They went before the judge using video conferencing to face their charges.

It was confirmed with the Glynn County Magistrate Court Clerk that Travis and Gregory McMichael due to the severity of the charges, will not get bond.

A Crowd gathered outside the courthouse, to sing happy birthday to Ahmaud. He would have been 26 that day.

The 911 call from the day was released on Thursday.

You can hear a voice that appears to be that of Gregory McMichael’s, he spoke to a dispatcher, saying, “He’s running right now. There he goes right now.” In the call

It was alleged that corruption was taking place because the elder McMichael was an investigator for the Glynn County D.A.’s Office. After the video was released, the D.A. formally asked the GBI to investigate the case that is now 2-and-a-half-month-old.

The men were free after the incident took place on February 23, but because the video was leaked this week. Pressure was mounting for them to be arrested. The GBI officially took the case from local cops in Brunswick, GA on Thursday.

The video showed Ahmaud jogging down the street before he was stopped and then confronted by the McMichaels. A short struggle between Travis and Ahmaud took place before shots were heard, and Ahmaud fell to the ground.
