Father Kills Son By Mistake In St. James
A man was shot and killed early Friday morning in Rhyne Park, St. James by his father and according to reports from the police, it was an unfortunate incident.
The deceased man has been identified as Ackeem Taylor.
The St. James Police Division reports that about 5:40 am the victim’s shadow was seen by his father on the roof, Taylor’s father mistaken his son for an intruder and proceeded to open fire, shooting the individual.
Upon inspection of the injured man, it was revealed that the victim was the shooter’s adult son.
Lawmen took Taylor to the Cornwall Regional Hospital, he died while undergoing treatment.
The father whose name has not been revealed is a well-known businessman from St. James.
The Police are now investigating the matter.
