Female Fatally Stabbed by Male after Phone Went Missing at Catholic College of Mandeville

A female student lost her life and a male student sustained injuries during a violent incident at the Catholic College of Mandeville in Williamsfield, Manchester on Monday, May 13. The victim is 20-year-old Akeilia White who is from Hanbury, in the parish.

White died as a result of stab wound(s) received during the altercation. The incident, which unfolded around midday, involved three students, with reports indicating that a male student inflicted stab wounds on Akeilia and another male student.

As per the police report, the reason for the stabbing was as a result of a phone gone missing. The suspect is a 17-year-old male who was chased, captured by residents and handed over to the police after the incident.

Education Minister Fayval Williams issued a statement expressing deep sorrow over the tragic loss of Akeilia’s life. She extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and friends, acknowledging the profound impact of such a devastating loss on the college community.

Akeilia’s untimely demise has left her family shattered, with her mother, Marion White, expressing disbelief and profound grief. Marion recalled that Akeilia had communicated with her just hours before the tragic incident, highlighting her daughter’s intelligence and outspoken nature.
