Earlier today, the Jamaica Observer reported the death of a female pastor in the parish of Hanover. It has been disclosed that the identity of the minister is Reverend Tanisha Ashburn, while the age of the minister is unknown it was also reported that the minister was a young woman.
She was a minister at the Lucea Baptist Church in the parish.
The police have not yet disclosed to the public the cause of the minister’s death nor the manner in which she was discovered, however, the report stated that the last significant public siting of Reverend Tanisha Ashburn was at the opening ceremony of the new Rural Agricultural Development Authority (RADA) building on the 14 of December at which she provided prayer for the event.
This is the second minister of religion that has died during this week. The first was Lynval Lewis of a Portmore address. Based on reports from Loop News, the pastor was leaving his home when a lone gunman approached him and opened fire. Minister Lynval Lewis died while undergoing surgery.
