Female Police Officer Found Dead

A female police officer from Longville Park, Clarendon, was found dead in her house after her relatives tried to call her on her cell phone and they got no answer. Natoya Bryan who is assigned to the Spanish Town Police Station left work late in the night.

There was no sign of foul play and it was known that she suffered from hypertension and it is possible that she suffered a stroke. She reportedly died on her 34rd birthday, she was in her uniform when her relatives found her on the floor where she fell.

She had been serving in the force for many years and the last time she answered her cell phone was 4 am on Christmas Morning.

Her 6-year-old son was staying with an aunt. The full details about what caused her death will not be known until the autopsy is done.

President of the Jamaica Police Federation Sergeant Patrae Rowe in an interview with Loop News said the death has left members of the JCF in shock.

“We express condolences to the family of woman Constable Bryan. Her colleagues who work close to her are in a state of mourning and we express sympathies to them,” Rowe said.
