The Constant Spring Tax office that’s located in the parish of St. Andrew was the recipient of a sudden fire earlier today, which has now led to a temporary halt in operations. The fire that impacted the Government facility is said to have an “unknown origin”, badly burning one side of the building.
According to reports, firefighters were quickly contacted when smoke was detected in the area of the registry department. It did not take long for the team that deals with fire emergencies, to reach the scene and take control of the matter.
After managing the area engulfed in flames, the firefighters were able to extinguish it and help whoever was on the scene.
Luckily no one was injured in the dramatic event, however, it is being reported that registry documents, unfortunately, got burned in the incident. Check out the video below which shows scenes from the location.
