Flow Online Service Outages as More Persons Are at Home On the Internet

Jamaicans have been seeing disruptions in their online internet services like never before.

Flow Jamaica posted the following public service advisory earlier today March 25th..

“We are aware of the disruption in fixed broadband and mobile data services in some sections of the island. Our technical team is currently investigating the issue in order to have services restored in the shortest possible time. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding.”

These were some of the comments from angry Subscribers “Hurry up. We got things to flow. I’m in old harbour.. WiFi is expensive. And now you having issues”, “Judging by the comments it seems to be islandwide just to be sure say where you are. Kingston Hagley Park road out.” Another person explained that too many persons are working at home online, while another said “I’M SO SICK OF FLOW, I WORK FROM HOME FULL TIME & IF EVERYDAY I HAVE NO INTERNET WHAT’S THE POINT OF KEEPING IT. WHY do THE ENVIRONS OF GP HAVE TO SUFFER LIKE THIS….EVERYDAY FLOW??”.

Flow’s facebook page later stated in reply to most comments “Your service was affected by an unplanned general outage. Our team has worked on restoring service, your service should be functioning at this time, please do a modem reset. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.”

An agent at a flow store explained that the company is seeing an unusual spike in online users hence some systems could not cope with the load in some instances which resulted in several outages.
