The most famous and glamorous Boxer of our time Floyd Mayweather Jr. has Decided to Become a Trainer for Upcoming Boxers as he Honours His Late Uncle.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. recently revealed that he decided to start training boxers as he wants to follow in the footsteps of his late uncle Roger Mayweather.

His uncle died in March after he trained Mayweather Jr. for 34 of his 50 professional fights, the Junior Mayweather became perhaps the best pound-for-pound fighter of his generation.

The five-weight world champion, who now says he was inspired by his uncle, last fought in 2017 when he won the fight against UFC star Conor McGregor, Floyd has teased the possibility of another return to the ring this year.

Mayweather Jr. shared a video recently, he was training his 14-year-old nephew in the ring and explained why he desires to become ‘one of the best trainers in the world’.

He revealed that many persons know, he had incredible trainers which included his dad and his uncle who had passed recently, and he now felt inspired to help those around him the same way they have been there for him throughout his boxing career.

In a time where persons must distance themselves from each other, he also reflects on how he wanted to make a difference in people lives and help them to achieve their goals. He believes a true trainer wants the best out of their fighter and will push them to the best of their abilities and he wants to leave an impression on those around him and allow them to see their potential.

“I am new at training and so far, I’ve been working with people with no boxing experience, therefore we are growing together. But I promise you, I will be one of the best trainers in the world.” The champion fighter said.
