Family members and friends of the late Jo Mersa got a chance to say their final goodbyes to the reggae singer earlier today. The reggae artiste, who is the grandson of reggae legend Bob Marley and the firstborn of Stephen Marley, died suddenly in December last year.
The funeral procession that was held at the Bob Marley Museum in St. Andrew commenced earlier today.
A black vehicle, which is believed to be transporting the body of the young Marley, can be seen leaving the museum’s grounds with an array of other vehicles following closely behind.
Supporters can also be seen standing by, watching as the vehicles exit the property. Officers are also seen aiding in the smooth transition of the vehicles onto the island’s roadway; one officer can also be heard giving instructions on how the vehicles are to be positioned, telling a woman to ensure the car with the Marleys is directly behind the three black vehicles at the front.
In light of the recent post, supporters have commented on it, expressing their love and well wishes for the family of the late reggae artist. Joseph “Jo Mersa” Marley will be entombed in Nine Miles, St. Ann, where his fabled grandfather was laid to rest, according to the Jamaica Observer.
