Footage Shows Robbery and Shooting at Bar in Grants Pen: Graphic Video
Footage circulating online shows the moments a nighttime robbery turned into a shooting in Grants Pen, St. Andrew.
The thief had chosen the business establishment, seemingly expecting his theft to yield a big payday.
However, according to the information shared in the video, prior to his entrance, the majority of the business’s cash had been carried away by one of the female personnel.
The thief can be seen entering the bar shortly after the woman reportedly tasked with removing the money exits.
While there, the thief engages in conversation with the bartender, but it is not clear at which precise moment the man pulls out his weapon.
After the woman who carried the money away returns, he accosts her and a male customer, ordering them to join the bartender around the counter.
Following the thief’s search, which apparently yielded little or no cash, the bar’s owner, 72-year-old Rudolph Williams, enters, and the assailant proceeds to shoot him before speedily exiting.
Though members of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) seemingly arrived at the scene shortly after, they reportedly did not pursue the thief.
