Two persons were shot and killed along the Lloydsville main road in Yallahs, St. Thomas by unknown assailants on Friday, July 9.
The deceased have been identified as Jardine Carr, a woman who is said to be a former member of Jamaica’s Under-17 Women’s football team and Andrew Mullings, a 21-year-old taxi driver in the parish.
According to reports, at about 4:45 p.m., Mullings was driving a Toyota Corolla with Carr seated in the front and two men seated behind. Gunshot explosions were heard and the vehicle spun out of control. It then collided with another vehicle, crashed into a utility pole and went over into a gully.
The two men that were seated in the backseat of the car escaped on foot.
