Fresh Evidence Allowed in Vybz Kartel’s Murder Case

The new evidence that was rejected was connected to fresh evidence regarding Kimberley Cranston’s statement and statements from jurors who were involved in juror Cain Livingston’s corruption trial.
Kartel’s Lawyer Valrie Neita Robertson had stated that the jury was contaminated and the case was prejudiced by media coverage during the trial.
Vybz Kartel will not be eligible for parole until after 35 years, Andre St. John will be imprisoed for 30 years before he will be considered for parole and the other co-accused will be considered for parole after 25 years each.
The convicted men had cited contaminated cell phone evidence and they claimed that Justice Lennox Campbell had erred in his judgement and they hadn’t received a fair trial. They were convicted after Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams was murdered.
