The now-independent member of parliament George Wright, who resigned from the JLP due to accusations stemming from a leaked video of someone alleged to be him fighting a female, is said to be due for a marriage which could be very soon.

According to the Jamaica Gleaner, their source who is Bishop O’Neil Russell from Ark of the Covenant Holy Trinity Church in Westmoreland, detailed that Wright and his common-law wife, Taneisha Singh who is the deputy chairperson for the G2k group in Westmorland, have been speaking to him for some time about marriage so they decided to make the move In a few weeks.

The couple has been under the radar for some time after a video leaked showing a man appearing to be the embattled minister, throwing his fist in a punch to a woman’s face, alleged to be Singh.

The case was however dropped after some time, with George Wright neither accepting the claim that it was him or not him in the video. The pressure the MP received from his former party though, caused him to retire but did not step down from his member of parliament position, which now makes him independent.

According to Bishop Russell, Singh and Wright have decided that their intention is not to “leave each other” but to “live with each other”.

The man of cloth in honouring the privacy of the couple held back detailed information regarding the upcoming wedding however what he did mention is that the two plans on keeping the event to be accessible only by their inner circle.
