Goat Thief Killed in St. Catherine

An unidentified male said to be about thirty years old was fatally mobbed on Saturday by residents in Old Habour St. Catherine. The victim who is around 5ft 10 inches tall was allegedly in the area to steal goats when he was attacked, beaten and shot.

The incident took place along Burke Road.

Reports are that, at about 2:20 pm lawmen responded to calls about gunshots being fired in the area. After arriving on the scene, police found the victim lying on his back in his own blood. There was a visible chop wound on the victim’s head and his face was whacked in, he showed no sign of life.

Police detailed that a machete and a huge stone were found beside the male victim’s body.

The male was taken to hospital by the police where he was confirmed dead, he was later taken to the morgue. Investigations are ongoing.
