Roberts, the event organizer got no title sponsor, but for the second year the almost 30-year-old show has been supported by Mr. Bogdanovich.

On December 17th the next anniversary will be celebrated and Mr. Bogdanovich has indicated that he will be on board.

Roberts says there are a lot of additional costs that are associated with the event, even though it is free to the public. With only 2 weeks to go before the show, Roberts is very grateful to Mr. Bogdanovich and still seeks sponsorship and even when companies can’t donate a lot, he is willing to accept small donations.

He believes the event has made a contribution to the surrounding communities, over the years and he believes more sponsors will be interested in coming on board to keep it going, as it is not easy to put everything together.

Patrick remembers 30 years ago when the first event was being planned and he is happy to see the great contribution the show made to Jamaican live entertainment.

Popcaan, Tarrus Riley, Dre Island, Capleton, Bugle and many other artistes who are willing to support the show will be there. This year there will be some extra special performances Mr. Roberts noted.

The line-up is looking great so far and there is still hope that it will be improving as time goes by. International acts could be added to the list of artistes.

Ghetto Splash is scheduled for December 17th at the Waterhouse Min Stadium, the event will be memorable.
