Gully Bop Reaching Out for Aid from the Public as He Continues to Struggle with Illness – Watch Videos

A shadow of his former energetic self, viral dancehall star Gully Bop is currently in need of medication as he continues to struggle with illness and is reaching out for aid from the public.

After the deejay was hospitalized in 2021 after experiencing excruciating pain from a hernia, little has been heard from him since. With the assistance of a pastor, Gully Bop reached out to humanitarian Donna Gowe, popularly known as Aunty Donna, to share his story with the public.

According to the pastor, he and his church, El Shaddai Prophetic Ministry, helped the artiste to receive his surgery, but he is still in need of day-to-day necessities such as food and medication.
In a video shared with TikTok followers, Gowe urged Gully Bop’s former girlfriends, A’mari and Shauna Chin, and any other one of his former partners who had gotten a “wuk affa him” to assist him with his now urgent needs.

Following Gowe’s advice to find a trustworthy individual to collect any funds and items donated, Gully Bop shared that he had previously been conned out of a GoFundMe campaign.

According to the entertainer, the man in charge of the fundraiser said the donations were coming in slowly, and since its launch two years ago, he had not received anything. Expressing his frustration, Gully Bop said he and the man were friends, yet he and another individual responsible for the fundraiser did not give him a dime that was raised.

Speaking on Gully Bop’s current situation on her YouTube channel, Gowe defended the deejay and her choice to request help from A’mari and Shauna Chin. Gowe shared that hundreds had reached out to her to help the artiste, and A’mari had thanked her for sharing his story.

During what may be described as the dawning age of social media, Gully Bop grew to stardom as one of Jamaica’s first viral sensations with songs such as Wuk Affa Mi and My God, Dem Nuh Bad Like Me.
