Guns-For-Drugs Trade Intercepted by Security Forces in Morant Bay

The Security forces are continuing their work to dismantle the guns-for drugs trade and on Saturday, December 28, they seized more than 2000 lbs of ganja in St. Thomas, off the coast of Morant Bay. 

The Narcotics Police Division released a report that stated that the (JDF) Jamaica Defence Force Coast Guard stopped and checked a boat that was carrying approximately 2,354 lbs of illegal drugs.

It was about 6 am when 5 men were found aboard the boat, and the police was alerted, so the men could be taken in custody.

Their names are being withheld as investigations continue at this time. The men’s personal belongings and some oil were seized along with the vessel.
