Vybz Kartel’s first official sit-down interview after prison release is with Anthony Miller of Entertainment Report, set for premiere on Friday, August 9. A preview from the interview is now making rounds online, highlighting the topics the deejay touched on.
In the much-anticipated interview, the 48-year-old talks about his incarceration and how much he has been waiting to “hear the key shake” after being sent to prison on “circumstantial evidence”.
Dressed in a white shirt and two handkerchieves around his head and face, he declared, “A crucifixion fi Kartel a that them did a try.”
With regards to his dismissed murder charge, the deejay whose birth name is Adidja Azim Palmer says, “mi nuh affi explain it cause mi free” and asks, “How yuh know a me?”
Further on in the Interview, he talks about Dancehall, saying, “Any how mi duh a DNA right now half a Dancehall a my pickny.”
Before the preview ends, he also sings praises to his current female partner Sidem Öztürk.
Notably, despite not releasing any new music since his release from prison over a week ago, he as been active online, appearing in several now viral videos.
