Hitman Shot and Killed by Police in Mango Walk, St James
A man from St Catherine, who was wanted by the police because it is alleged that he was a member of a Hitman gang died after he was shot by the officers during an operation carried out at an upscale, premises in Mango Walk, St James on Monday.
A female, and two other wanted men, were taken into custody.
The police reported that the alleged hitman who died, was also known as Damian Mitchell and Kimani Brown, he hailed from Passage Fort in St Catherine.
He was connected to a double murder along Golden Spring Road, in Stony Hill on December 11, 2019, which caused the St. Catherine Police to be searching for him.
Dwayne Anthony Ferguson who is also known as ‘Kevoy Davis’ or ‘Greasy’ was his co-accused. He is a labourer from Patrick Drive, Kingston 20 who was taken into custody.
Others Taken into Custody
Peter Junior White who was being searched for by the Constant Spring police was also a person of interest after a shooting that took place in 2019, a female nail technician who is 24-year-old from Kingston 19 and a male student who is 21-year-old, were all taken into custody.
According to the reports that were made by the police just after 6 p.m., officers who were acting on intelligence went on an operation n the Mango Walk Country Club at a house.
The now deceased ‘Hitman’ pointed a gun at the team of officers who managed to shoot, kill him and take a Smith and Wesson pistol that was loaded with 6-38 rounds was taken from him after they entered the house.
All the persons who were found in the house were taken into custody after an additional 10-38 rounds of ammunition was found.
It is alleged that the members of the Hitman gang were using the house in Mango Walk as a base, while they carried out contract killings.
The killing and other information that are connected to the case is being investigated by the Independent Commission of Investigation.
