A family in the parish of Westmoreland is now experiencing depression as their home was this Saturday morning set on fire, leaving them now homeless.
The family hails from the community of Scott Land in Belvedere, Westmoreland and children are also reported to be a part of their household which was a boarded structure.
It is understood that at around 2:30 am this morning they were alerted by several gunshots which then led them to realize that the house was on fire. Two cars that were present in the yard were also burned.
After investigating the scene of the arson, the Police said they recovered several spent shells and a man alleged to be responsible for the act has been on their radar for questioning about the incident.
