Illegal Firearms and Ammunition found on the Wharf

10 illegal firearms including an Oozie Sub-machine gun, over 600 rounds of ammunition, a silencer and 29 magazines, were found on Wednesday, by officers from the Counter Terrorism and Organised Crime Division. They were hidden in a barrel that was filled with food at the Kingston Wharf.

Two men were arrested right away, and two others were arrested during a secondary operation.

The barrel was shipped from Georgia, USA and it was sent to a man from Mona Road, Kingston 6.
The police have stepped up their operations at the Wharf and more weapons are being found as the Get the Guns Campaign continues to be a success.
