INDECOM Investigation leads to Police Officer Charged for Murder

Damion Auld a Police Corporal, was charged on Tuesday with murder following an investigation done by the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) and the ruling from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

A file was sent to the office of the DPP for a ruling on April 29, 2020, and the decision about the matter was received on May 6, 2020.


Corporal Auld was charged with the fatal shooting of Odel Lambert on Connolley Avenue, Kingston 4, which took place on September 7, 2019.

The accused officer appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Tuesday and is now scheduled to return to court on June 11 for a bail application hearing. He was not remanded and bound over.
