Dancehall artiste Ishawna officially signed her first international record deal with a New York-based hip-hop label called Payday Records.
The Jamaican entertainer shared this accomplishment on her Instagram page, showing pictures of her inking the deal alongside the owner, Patrick Moxey, as well as music producer, Cordel ‘Skatta’ Burrell. Filled with enthusiasm and excitement for the new opportunity, Ishawna is seen smiling throughout while celebrating.

Payday Records was launched in 1992 and has helped to launch the careers of some of the biggest names in Hip-hop, including Jay-Z, Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def), Showbiz & AG, and Jeru the Damaja. The label has also released records by DJ Premier, 2 Chainz, A$AP Ferg, and others.
