Ishawna to Drop Music Video with Ed Sheeran “Soon” – Watch Interview
Dancehall risk-taker Ishawna has seen another giant step forward in her musical career as she partners with famous English singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran for an upcoming music video. Ed Sheeran, one of the biggest international pop stars, has joined the dancehall singjay in materializing the music video of their 2022 single Brace It.
The pair began working together after Ed Sheeran reached out to her on Instagram sometime after declaring his love for her 2018 raunchy single Equal Rights. Equal Rights is a spin-off of his 2017 chart-topping song Shape Of You, and his favourite of the many versions he has heard.
Along with going number one on the charts in 34 countries, Shape Of You also became the first song to be streamed more than 2 billion times on Spotify.
Ishawna spoke to Entertainment Report about the music video for Brace It, which was shot last year and announced to be coming soon. “We just shot the video for it, which is coming out very soon,” she stated.
“I feel so blessed because, apart from Equal Rights, Ed Sheeran is actually a fan, he actually loves my music, we talk, we’re friends, he gives me advice,” she added.
Meanwhile, Ishawna released the music video for her new song New Child two days ago, which speaks about her feeling like a changed person after living through various experiences.

Additionally, the artiste disclosed that she is working on her EP and that fans should look out for many things. When asked if she believed that she and Ed Sheeran would perform their song together, she replied by saying that it was “inevitable.”
