Iyara and Pamputtae Drop Music Video for ‘Caney’

After commending the unsung heroes in his latest single ‘G.O.A.T. Get Weh,’ dancehall musician Iyara has escalated excitement with his new track ‘Caney.’ ‘Caney’ is a joint effort with dancehall singer Pamputtae, promising to be a hit that sparks conversations.

Iyara shared his experience working with Pamputtae, noting their collaboration occurred remotely, exchanging ideas over the phone, resulting in an extraordinary outcome.

The track is a collaborative project by Bellevue Entertainment and Tru Productions. The music video was released on Friday, April 5.

The video, partially filmed in Jamaica and the US, aims to maintain a Caribbean essence, directed by Tony-Ra and Kingpride Productions. Teasers of the video stirred excitement on social media earlier this week.

Iyara, who has previously worked with multiple female artistes, expressed his admiration for Pamputtae’s authentic dancehall approach. Pamputtae, thrilled about the partnership, shared that their collaboration, though virtual, was seamless and chemistry-filled.

The song’s concept was inspired by the nickname ‘Caney’ given to him, reflecting his tall stature, which is appealing to many women.
