Jamaica and other Countries in the Caribbean Shaken by 7.7 Magnitude Earthquake
Today a Magnitude 7.7 earthquake was felt in Jamaica after it rocked the seabed off the coast of Lucea. Persons all over the island felt it, it lasted for approximately 2 minutes. Other countries such as Haiti, the Bahamas, Cuba and Puerto Rico felt the effects of the quake as well.

It was reported that a Tsunami should be expected, as the quake was powerful. The island has been experiencing a number of these tremors recently.
However, there was no loss of life and no major damages were reported. Persons were shaken up and fearful when they didn’t know if it would last for a long time.
