Jamaica Girlz Beats Costa Rica To Claim 3rd Place Spot – Watch Highlights

On Monday, Costa Rica and Jamaica played against each other for the third place spot in the Women’s Concacaf Championships. The match began at 7:00 PM EST in Monterrey, Mexico, on July 18, 2022.

Both teams failed to score during the first 90 minutes of the match hence the game had to go into extra time.

The Jamaican team took one step closer to the Olympics when they scored the first goal of the game during extra time. The goal was scored by 20- years old Kalyssa “Kiki” Van Zanten, minutes after coming off the bench, she ran onto a through ball and placed it to the right of the Costa Rican goalkeeper.
