On Thursday, reporter Lisa Evers announced that ‘HIS MAJESTY KING CHARLES HAS ORDERED’ the Jamaican government to pay for legal expenses surrounding the Privy Council Appeal for Vybz Kartel and three other men.

She wrote, “#breakingnews #lisaeversexclusive @vybzkartel💥CONVICTION QUASH UPDATE💥. HIS MAJESTY KING CHARLES HAS ORDERED THE JAMAICAN GOVERNMENT TO PAY ALL COSTS RELATED TO THE PRIVY COUNCIL APPEAL. See details in #exclusive next photo.”

And, “I spoke with Kartel attorney @isatbuchanan (see photo #4) and he confirms this. Buchanan tells me the Jamaica Court of Appeal has set a hearing date of June 10-June 14. By June 14 of this year, the Court of Appeal will decide whether to grant Kartel and his 3 co-defendants their freedom since they are no longer convicted of a crime “conviction quashed”, or order a retrial.”

In reaction to the news, one person commented, “So my government wasted millions on initial trial, another set of million going to privy and is subject to compensate Kartel’s team for representation in the privy court? So all in all tax payers a suffer, can’t benefit not even a little house! Nuh care how much you apply you nah get but me a sweat fe my money waste 😫😫.”
