Jamaica in Path of This Tropical Wave

As per weather reports, a Tropical Wave is currently making its way across the Caribbean Sea just south of Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

While it’s not expected to develop further, it’s expected to bring rain and winds to Jamaica, especially from Thursday to Friday.

77mm or up to 3 inches of rain can be expected for sections of Jamaica as the Tropical Wave passes, there is a possibility that it could develop into worse weather after passing Jamaica.

Weather Jamaica made mention of the Tropical Wave on Social media after reporting that sections of western Jamaica should expect rainfall Tuesday afternoon.

The caption reads, “Rainfall is in the forecast for parts of central and western Jamaica on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 06, 2024. We also discuss the tropical wave highlighted by the Hurricane Center.”
