Jamaican Dj Kentucky in Custody; Charged with the Rape of a Minor
Dj Kentucky, who is more formally known as Shawn Stewart, has been apprehended and charged by law enforcement officers for the allegations of having had unsolicited sexual intercourse with a minor.
According to reports from the Jamaica Star, on August 18, 2022, the Jamaican Dj invited a student from Montego Bay, St. James, to his place of residence after she requested his monetary aid in purchasing a gift for her mother’s birthday.
Upon arriving at his home, the 12-year-old student was allegedly forced into submission by Dj Kentucky, who then proceeded to perform sexual acts on her. The police report stated that after he was finished, he used his vehicle to take the girl to an undisclosed location in Montego Bay, where she was left.
The mortified child reported the matter to her parents, who spared no time in bringing the incident to the attention of the relevant authorities. A subsequent manhunt was launched for the disc jockey, who operates both locally and abroad, but it proved to be of no avail.
Shawn Stewart reported to the Freeport police station with his attorney on Thursday, where he was then held and charged in connection to the disheartening incident.
