Jamaican Man Dies In USA after being Punched to the ground

A Jamaican born man who lived in the United States has passed away, due to brain bleeding he incurred after falling and hitting his head on a sidewalk, after being punched in his face in a dispute.

The incident took place on November 7, where it was reported that the deceased whose name is Lenford Johnson, was at a location outside the Caribbean American Entertainment centre in Flatbush, New York when someone ordered another to punch him in his face, because of an alleged sly comment made about the person’s sister.

Lenford, who also goes by the name “Bagga” was subsequently punched in his face after which he fell on the sidewalk, badly hitting his head.

He was rushed to the hospital and given a one percent chance to live, however, died after being on life support for 10 days, as a result of bleeding in his brain.

“Bagga”, was 62 years of age, and was a mechanic by profession and a previous cruise ship chef, who loved cooking.

According to his stepdaughter, Tracy Lewin, he would usually love to cook with his friends and listen to reggae music.

The incident came as a shock to her as she reported that Lenford was frying fish the last time she saw him alive. She said she didn’t even know he had visited the bar.

No arrests were made by the Police, however, investigations are still on the way.
