Jamaican MISSING after Trying To Save Drowning Father And Child in Florida

A 27-year-old Jamaican man by the name of Kristoff Murray is now missing after trying to rescue a drowning father and his child on Friday evening, at the Apollo Beach in Florida. According to the reports, Murray and a female were at the beach at about 7:00 pm, when he saw the man and his child being carried away by the currents of the ocean.

Alarmed by the situation, the man who is a Jamaican from the parish of St. Mary, jumped in the water to try to save the drowning man and his child.

At the same time, the Police were contacted for help, who shortly after, came to assist along with the HCFR and Coast Guard. The emergency personnel then went on an air and sea search at approximately 9:00 pm, which led them to find the body of the man, then his child after. Upon being taken to the hospital, both persons found were sadly pronounced dead.

Kristoff Murray, who jumped in the water, seemed also to have been carried away by the currents of the water as he is not yet found, but is being hailed as a good Samaritan for the heroic move.
