Jamaican Shoots Man 3 Times and Gets 35 Years in USA Prison
Omar Brown a 33-year-old Jamaican man shot 48-year-old James Walker on December 19, 2018. Walker said in open court that it was a drug deal that went wrong.
Walker was shot by Brown in a store on North Clinton Street in Fort Wayne, but the Jamaican said it was done in self-defence, he thought he saw Walker reaching for a gun. He also revealed that Walker had threatened to kill him many times.
The judge sentenced Brown to 35 years in prison, after a jury convicted him of attempted murder and criminal recklessness.
He will pay $38,400 in restitution and he must stay away from Walker.
Now Walker walks with a cane and he only has partial use of his left arm and his left leg is almost paralysed.
The two met at a Barber shop many years before and Walker now says they were involved in a drug deal that went bad.
