Jamaica’s first-ever rallycross champion, Fraser McConnell, secured the win as the Nitrocross season kicked off at the MidAmerica Outdoors course in Oklahoma.

McConnell won his second victory in Nitrocross’ premier Group E class by starting the final from pole position.

Due to the extreme heat affecting the track conditions, the final race was shortened from six laps to three. Despite this change, the overall length of the final race at MidAmerica Outdoors remained unchanged, as the course is the longest in the history of the series.

After the Dreyer & Reinbold JC sponsored driver crossed the finish line, Swedish competitors Robin Larsson and Kevin Eriksson followed closely behind, securing the second and third podium positions, respectively.

After winning the race, McConnell hopped up on his car and flashed the cameras a smile and Usain Bolt’s well-known “To The World” pose. He went on to receive his trophy with his mother by his side.

Afterwards, McConnell, Larsson, and Eriksson stood on the podium, joyfully popping bottles to celebrate their outstanding race. They then posed with their medals while McConnell proudly hoisted the grand Nitrocross trophy high into the air.
