Following the hospitalisation of American actor Jamie Foxx in April, his close friends are reportedly urging his fans and well-wishers to pray for him as the actor’s condition has seemingly not greatly improved.
According to reports, Foxx fell seriously ill on April 11 and required resuscitation after becoming unresponsive. Foxx’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, announced on social media on April 12 that he had suffered an undisclosed medical complication. Corinne stated that the actor was already on his way to recovery due to quick action and great care.
However, at the time of his medical emergency, Foxx was shooting the film Back in Action, which co-starred Cameron Diaz, but Foxx has not been able to return to filming. According to TMZ, a stunt double and body double have been seen filling in for the Django Unchained star for that project.
The outlet further reports that, though details of Foxx’s precise medical condition remain undisclosed by the Foxx family, those closest to him have expressed the actor’s need for prayer. As a result of his continued hospitalisation, Foxx will not be returning as host of the Beat Shazam music lyric game show, which reportedly begins filming today with a new host.
Corinne, a DJ on Beat Shazam, is said to be constantly by her father’s side in Atlanta and will not be joining filming as well.
