JDF Officer Resigns Due To Sexual Relationship With Female Soldier

There have been more developments in the case, that concerns a JDF Officer and a female soldier who was found to be involved in a sexual relationship.

According to the recent news on the matter, the Officer has been found guilty alongside the female soldier who was charged under sections 45 and 75, of the defence act which requires that she spends a total of 14 days in Military prison.

Following being found guilty by superior authority and a commanding officer, the guilty officer was forced to hand in his resignation.

There was no violation where sexual harassment or any violence is concerned and as such the parties were determined to be not guilty in that sense.

The JDF however, has been very strict since their establishment on rules concerning relationships and fraternization, between members of the defence force.

The officer was also charged with the maximum fine as handed down to him by the defence board.

Earlier the male officer was accused of sexually harassing and preying on young women soldiers under his command which should not be unacceptable.
