Jeffery Hype Pledges his Right Arm to Kartel: “A my God this enuh!… Di wul a dah hand yah a fi him”

“Up till today day yah…. a mi a the fus man put on a Kartel tattoo,” says Jeffery Hype as he details his respect and love of the person who put him on a plane for the first time.

According to Hype after he returned to the island from his first trip abroad, he thought about doing something to show his ultimate respect for the deejay. He recalls the tattoo artiste being sceptical at first and asked him if he asked Vybz Kartel about getting the tattoo.

Talking to the host of The Fix Jeffery Hype recounts a lot of backlash following the endeavour, he also detailed Kartel’s reaction to him getting the tattoo. “Him nuh really like frighten.. or unhappy about the situation… him jus seet and seh mmmn suh yuh a move!” those words caused a burst of laughter in the studio.

Jeffery Hype went on to explain that he had both Kartel’s name and face on his right arm, “Di wul a dah hand yah a fi the genna… a mi God a mi general,” he said as he dismissed Mavado’s claim in a diss song that he had Kartel tattoo on his neck.
