Jimmy Cliff’s Daughter Nabiyah Be Actress in Black Panther

Nabiyah Be, the daughter of Reggae Superstar Jimmy Cliff is an actress, she is among the cast of the science fiction blockbuster film Black Panther, when it opens in Jamaica.

Nabiyah Be is a Songwriter and Singer like her father. However in Black Panther she plays Linda Johnson, this is a major debut for the Brazilian born who has strong Jamaican ties. Her older sister Odessa Chambers who is a publicist, television producer, is excited about the film. She plans to go and see the film, with all her other siblings, as they are very proud and happy.

The film is based on Marvel Comics character, directed by Ryan Coogler. It is expected that it will do well, because of the dominant Black superhero. 

Black Panther also has a strong cast, including Angella Basset , Chadwick Boseman, Academy Award winning actress Lupita Nyungo and Forest Whitaker..

Nabiyah Be was introduced to music by her father and has toured with him, as a backup singer and guest singer.

She completed theatre studies at Pace University in New York and has been acting in plays as her career grows. She is also working on her debut album , which is due to be released this year.
