Following an altercation with a woman who was recording him, Kanye West has been implicated in a battery investigation.
According to reports from TMZ, the incident took place near a sports complex where West’s daughter, North West, had a scheduled basketball game. A law enforcement source disclosed to the news outlet that Ventura County Sheriff’s Department officers were called to the scene after the incident and were given video evidence of the altercation. West has allegedly since been named the suspect in a battery investigation.
In the footage of the altercation, West approaches a woman recording in a car stopped behind his vehicle. The rapper tells the woman to stop using her camera, but as she continues to record and declares that West is a celebrity, he grabs the phone from her and tosses it into the road.
As West returns to his car, he confronts a man recording in the street and asks for his camera, but the man apologises and stops filming. West returned to his vehicle, where his rumoured wife Bianca Censori was reportedly waiting for him.
West recently revealed that the first time he took medication was after he got mad at the paparazzi. The Flashing Lights rapper made the revelation during an encounter with a cameraman while he and Censori were leaving a tanning salon in Los Angeles on January 24. West spoke about his feelings about the paparazzi and their behaviour as the cameraman refused to stop filming.
