Kerry Lopez Says ‘Violence Fi Cease’ Following Clarendon Massacre
Seasoned heretical female artiste Kerry Lopez is condemning the wicked act that took place in Clarendon on Sunday, August 11. “Right now this wuleep a killing neeven mek nuh sense, a wah this fah?… stupidness.. Full time the violence fi cease inna di ghetto we a beg some peace,” she sings in her most recent musical release.
Lopez, like most Jamaicans, is deeply saddened by the incident which resulted in 8 lives being taken, however, in her instance the violent act took place in a neighbouring parish. Kerry Lopez who formerly goes by the name Hot k is from Chudleigh in Manchester where her musical journey started 20 years ago.
With her ‘Violence Fi Cease‘ song, Kerry Lopez is seeking to help calm the wicked minds that lurk on the island, while also reminding the law enforcers that they need to change their corrupt ways. Despite not getting the big break as yet, the mystical entertainer is looking to make her mark in music worldwide with relatable songs like ‘Violence Fi Cease‘.
As for her future, the Manchester native first and foremost wants to be healthy, however, along with good health, her aim is to have worldwide recognition through her music in the near future.
Her musical partner is Just Kool, despite not listing any names, Kerry Lopez says she’s, “inspired by good music from instrumental to brave individuals who discover his/her own greatness and are willing to share the joy.”
‘Violence Fi Cease‘ was released over a year ago, nevertheless, it’s very much relevant to the nowadays violent happenings across Jamaica.
