Men will compete in events like the 100m, 200m, 400m, 110m hurdles, 400m hurdles, discus throw, high jump, and triple jump. Women will take the stage in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 100m hurdles, 400m hurdles, and triple jump, promising a thrilling display of athleticism.

Ludlow Watts, the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), is enthusiastic about hosting such a prestigious event in Jamaica. He assures that spectators will witness some of the world’s finest athletes, highlighting Jamaica‘s prominent position in global athletics.

The LOC aims to fill the stadium, creating an electrifying atmosphere for both athletes and fans.

The JAI is not just another athletic meet; it’s a strategic precursor to the Summer Olympic Games in Paris and a pivotal opportunity for athletes to shine before their National Championships in June. World Athletics has recognized the event’s caliber, designating it as a Silver Continental Tour, which only adds to the growing anticipation for a world-class event.

The Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) has set three key goals for the JAI: to deliver top-notch competition, offer athletes a platform to excel, and promote Jamaica as a leading sports destination worldwide.
