Kobe Bryant and his Daughter Gianna Laid to Rest

Kobe Bryant the Basketball superstar and his teenage daughter Gianna were laid to rest on Friday. A tragic helicopter crash last month claimed their lives and that of all nine passengers on board the flight.

Bryant was traveling with his 13-year-old daughter, to a youth basketball tournament, she was participating in on January, 26. Two of her teammates Payton Chester and Alyssa Altobelli who were with her also died, along with Alyssa’s parents, John and Keri Altobelli, Payton’s mother, Sarah Chester and the girls’ Basketball coach Christina Mauser, at Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, California was also killed, as well as the pilot, Ara Zobayan.
 
Entertainment Tonight reported that the private funeral took place at Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona Del Mar, California.

Bryant’s wife Vanessa also posted on Instagram about an upcoming memorial service that will take place on February 24, and it will be open to everyone. This ceremony will be held where Kobe played Basketball during his whole career with the Los Angeles Lakers, at the Staples Center.
